Thank you for joining us for this year's 21 day fast. We are expecting God to speak to every individual involved and we are believing for lives to be changed and prayers to be answered throughout the duration of this fast.
Biblical fasting is, very simply, denying oneself something for the sake of seeking and honoring God. Fasting is a way of eliminating distractions and focusing directly on God. In addition to food, you can also fast from other things that keep you connected to the world. These may include television, social media, video games and more. Listed below are a few common type of fasts.
This type of fast is not determined by cutting certain foods out of your diet but by restricting your diet to liquids only. Juicing is very common on these fasts. Even when fasting it is still very important to make sure your body is getting the nutrients it needs. Juicing fruits and vegetables, whole fruit smoothies, and staying hydrated with pure water are all good ways to do this.
This type of fast is based out of Daniel 10:2-3. One of the great things about the Daniel Fast is that you are not limited to any specific amount of food, but rather to the kinds of food you can eat.
Meats and Sweets Fast
